📦 What Permissions We Use (and Why)

DevFlow Pro requires certain Chrome permissions to function effectively:

• storage & unlimitedStorage:

  To save your settings, preferences, task data (e.g., Kanban), and code snippets locally in your browser.

• activeTab & tabs:

  Allows the extension to access information about your currently open tab for tools like DOM Inspector, SEO Checker, and Responsiveness Tester.

• alarms:

  Lets the extension schedule background tasks or refresh data periodically (e.g., GitHub sync, performance checks).

• scripting:

  Enables injecting necessary scripts into web pages to perform developer-related functions like element inspection and accessibility checks.

• declarativeNetRequest:

  Used to help filter and manage requests (e.g., performance monitoring, API debugging), improving developer productivity.

• identity:

  Required for secure GitHub integration, allowing users to manage repositories and sync tasks with their GitHub account.

• host permissions (on user-defined URLs):

  Enables debugging and interacting with specific web pages and APIs you are working on, strictly based on your configuration.

We do NOT collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) or browsing history on our servers.

We only store:

• Extension settings, preferences, and user-generated content (like tasks/snippets) locally on your device using Chrome’s local storage.
• OAuth tokens (e.g., GitHub) are used temporarily and securely via Chrome’s identity API and never shared or stored externally.
